How has your first 4/5 months at Jones Chase gone?
I have very much enjoyed my first 5 months at Jones Chase. I quickly realised this law firm truly prioritises our clients, which is evident in their exceptional work ethic and high standards. They also stand out by genuinely caring for the team’s well-being, going beyond mere words when it comes to looking after everyone.
What have you learned in your first 4/5 months?
As a newcomer to the legal sector, I expected a challenging learning curve that initially seemed overwhelming. However, the work is fascinating, as it directly impacts people’s lives. Exploring the nuances of the UK legal system, coming from a different background, has been particularly interesting. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of learning more about employment law.
What aspects of your role have you most enjoyed?
I love the dynamic and varied nature of each day at Jones Chase. The diverse projects I work on challenge me to enhance my skills and learn new ones. However, the best part of it all is the incredible people I get to work with. They are friendly, intelligent and determined individuals.
What challenges if any have you come across?
Starting a new job always has a learning curve and this being a new role and a new sector comes with its challenge. The law terminology and some things that would be obvious to someone with legal experience are completely new to me, but I enjoy a challenge. That being said, I have had the support and patience of the team, who have made it interesting.
How have you settled in with the team?
I’m thoroughly enjoying my time at Jones Chase. Despite the initial challenges, everyone has been incredibly helpful and supportive, making it easy for me to settle in. The team’s collaborative spirit and shared dedication to our clients’ success, both company clients and individuals, makes me feel valued as a contributor. I enjoy being a part of a team that is committed to achieving excellence.
What are you looking forward to in the next 6 months?
I am excited about the prospects of advancing in my professional journey at Jones Chase. This job offers a great deal of variety, with each task bringing a fresh set of challenges that I thoroughly enjoy. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, including team members, clients, and external providers.
