Journey to law
Awel gained her Law degree from Cardiff University before working as a paralegal at a firm that focused on industrial disease claims. This experience solidified her passion for practicing law and pursuing a career as a solicitor, leading her to complete the Legal Practice Course (with LLM) at the University of Law, where she achieved a distinction. Since graduating, Awel has been employed at reputable law firm Bolt Burdon Kemp, a specialised personal injury and clinical negligence practice and is currently a trainee solicitor on secondment at Jones Chase.
While studying for the Legal Practice Course, Awel chose an employment law elective, where she discovered her passion for the law’s vital role in protecting workers’ rights, promoting fair workplace practices and shaping policies that advance equity and justice.
Awel supports the qualified lawyers at Jones Chase with cases involving all aspects of UK employment law.
