Journey to law

Cameron was drawn to law due to a close family connection and the ability to keep learning new things on a continuous basis, which the profession provides.

Cameron completed his university degree in 2021 moved straight to study the GDL the following year. He studied this full time and gained employment as a paralegal in specialist personal injury and clinical negligence experts Bolt Burdon Kemp, in October 2022.  Upon the completion of the LPC, Cameron started his training contract in April 2025.

He is now at Jones Chase on secondment from Bolt Burdon Kemp, completing the final seat of his training contract, before qualifying as a Solicitor in October 2026.  Cameron chose to gain experience in employment law as it has such wide application and affects so many people on a day to day basis.

Cameron started his career in law in October 2022 having graduated from university. He worked as a Paralegal in a personal injury and clinical negligence specialist firm Bolt Burdon Kemp.  He obtained a training contract at the same firm in 2025.  Cameron joined Jones Chase on secondment in April 2026 for the final seat of his training contract prior to qualification in October 2026, to gain experience of both contentious and non-contentious cutting edge employment law matters.

Employment law is such a rapidly developing area and it affects almost everyone. This is what particularly interested me. Working in employment law requires me to keep up to date with all these developments and understand how these will impact any clients. This forces me to continue to push myself to develop my own knowledge.

Jones Chase offers me the chance to focus on a different area of law during my secondment. Working in a small team provides me with the ideal environment to learn from the experts around me and absorb as much information as I can in the time I am at the firm.

I believe Jones Chase is set apart by the standards it holds itself to and the work it produces despite the size of the workforce. This allows the firm to deliver the highest calibre legal advice at a price below what is expected for a central London law firm.

Achieving the best result for clients and ensuring they are fully informed throughout the process. I am still completing my training so I am also motivated to learn as much as I can in the time I am with the firm.
