Journey to law

Justin’s introduction to law was shadowing an employment lawyer at Brent Community Law Centre. The work they did inspired him to pursue a career as an employment lawyer, having seen first-hand that being an employment lawyer allows you to use the law to help people strategically. After qualification Justin’s career took a different path, working in a series of US firms, primarily acting for employers. He then worked for a Trade Union law firm acting on behalf of trade unions and their members – giving him a great insight into the issues they deal with. Before joining Jones Chase, Justin was the Joint-Head of the Employment Department at a City firm, working there for almost 15 years, predominantly with clients in the Life Sciences and Tech sectors.

Fundamentally I believe in fairness and people being treated equally.
I first encountered Jones Chase almost a decade ago when we were on opposing sides in a case. I was impressed by their robust but sensible approach. Since then, I have been able to get to know the firm and their lawyers better, through referring work to them over the years. The more familiar I became with their work the more impressed I have become, leading me to want to join the team.
Excellence should be a given, but the lawyers at Jones Chase really are fantastic. Above all, what sets Jones Chase apart are its values and the dedication of all who work there to actively embody them.
The satisfaction of a job well done. Working collaboratively with colleagues and clients. Providing calm and considered counsel.
