Journey to law

Kimberly obtained an LLB from the University of Leicester, where she graduated with a First Class Degree in July 2020. She went on to complete a Master of Arts in Medical Law at King’s College London in September 2021.

Kimberly has been employed at Bolt Burdon Kemp since June 2022, which specialises in complex matters of clinical negligence and personal injury. She successfully completed her Legal Practitioners’ Course in June 2024.

She is currently on secondment as a trainee solicitor and gaining experience in all aspects of employment law at Jones Chase.

Before starting her training contract, Kimberly worked as a paralegal at a specialised clinical negligence and personal injury firm, Bolt Burdon Kemp. She started her training contract in October 2024 and is now looking forward to her time on secondment in employment law.

Kimberly has previous legal experience as a paralegal in a Real Estate Investment Trust and during her Master’s, Kimberly volunteered at the Protea Clinic, where she provided legal advice to vulnerable clients on immigration issues.

She is now working with the team at Jones Chase, supporting cutting-edge employment cases.

I was drawn to employment law as it is an evolving and challenging area of law that provides the opportunity to make a positive impact on clients’ lives.
As a trainee, I believe I can gain invaluable experience in the area of employment law while working with the highly specialised and dedicated team at Jones Chase.
