Journey to law
Yassmina studied at the University of Law in London. Before embarking upon her degree, she participated in a Smart Start Programme at A&O Shearman where she discovered her passion for pursuing a legal career. Shortly after this, Yassmina completed a work experience placement at Jones Chase. Here, she made the final decision that employment law is the area of law she wanted to specialise in and pursue.
She believes that employment law truly matters and has a large impact on so many people’s lives on a day to day basis.

Before joining Jones Chase as a paralegal, Yassmina worked as a Legal Document Specialist in AI legal technology at a startup company. She has also completed work experience with A&O Shearman, a multinational legal practice.
Statistically, people spend more time at work than with their families, so your working life truly matters. I want to help people have a happy and healthy work environment in any way that I can. As an employment paralegal, I can do that.
After my period of work experience with the team, Jones Chase was always on my radar as a place that I truly wanted to join. I really enjoyed the exposure I had to employment law and witnessing the impact it made on our clients’ day to day lives.
